The little city Jena is nestled in a big valley and surrounded by mountains, with lots of hiking opportunities. You could basically walk all around it, but calculate in hours of walking up and down hills and in and out of forests. The views, are of course great and the part of the big hike I marked shows an old natural source of water, 2 castles and lots of untouched nature.
