The late Spring rains have created an environment conducive to growing and leaving the trails with overgrown areas with limited sight lines. Yesterday’s workday focused on trimming Yaupon and beauty berry to give riders better sight lines on the South Loop.
Eric started at the top of the SL. Larry and I rode down the 286 and started from that end. Larry and I spent all of our time clearing the one tree mess on the 286 and trimming the 1/2 mile between 286 and the CCC Connector entrance. Eric worked on the remainder of the SL.
There are three downed trees that are ready to be cut and cleared from the trails. Two on the 286 and one on the SL. Will need to schedule a saw day.
There are two pics on this ramblr. A before and after of the one tree on the 286.
