1. Cable Car is convenient for that hiking. 1 way costs 7000KW (approx 4.4 Euro) and both ways 11000Kw. It operates between 0930am and 1730pm.
2. If someone follows the same route as mine amd end its hiking at Beomosa temple, he should arrange for a taxi (as I did) or use public transportation for getting downtown. Temple can be visited until 1800. 3. Enjoy the views from the watch towers and the peakbut notice also the various shrines. 4. The 'Sea of Rocks' between the North Gate and Beomosa Temple requires attention, especially when heading down.
5. Near the cable car (500m) is the Parking Lot of Geumjeongsan park. If you have car, it will be proved convenient solution.

Geumjeongsan is a mountain very near to Busan. The whole mountain is a very big park that apart from the beautiful nature the various flora and fauna that can be spotted here, has a very big fortress built in early 18th century (1701-1703), a mythical spot near its peak (Godangbong-802m) called Geumsaem (a pool attop of a rock that supposed a heavenly golden fish lived there) and one of the most known temple in Korea called Beomosa (the temple of the Nirvana Fish). The park attracts many people, especially during weekends, for hiking, bird watching or simply to enjoy the views and the historical site. There is a cable car that can bring you relatively near to the South Gate of the massive fortress. I went for hiking there a beautiful sunny Sunday and started from the South Gate and by hiking near to fortress walls, passed from East Gate, North Gate reached the peak of the mountain and then after visiting Beomosa temple a finished my tour.
