Day 8 Willunga Basin Trail-section 8

I may be completing the sections out of order again but the chance of a lift to the start and being picked up from the end meant that we decided to complete a section that is one of the furthest from home. We were dropped off just short of Kangarilla at the start of the section and after walking about half a kilometre we managed to resist the temptation of a bacon and egg roll at the general store. We left the road and crossed the first stile into a walkway between two paddocks. The walkway was an uphill path and we kept thinking we had got to the top and it would go around a corner and carry on upwards. This went on for a few kilometres before we hit the pine forests of Kuitpo. I have walked some of this section before as the trail follows the same route as the Heysen trail for a short time. We walked past the Ironbanks picnic area and then turned right to follow a path that I have not walked before. We followed the path until it came to a road and then, as usual, we had a couple of km road walk to finish the day.
