El Chorro is an amazing waterfall that plunges some 40 feet into the Pacific Ocean at high tide! Two years ago, we hiked to this waterfall thinking that we were going during high tide. When we got as close to the waterfall as we could get...which was still some distance away, we said to ourselves, "If we've arrived here at LOW tide, we sure don't what to see what things look like along the coast here at HIGH tide!!" After a few quick pictures, we made a rush return back having realized that we had our tide schedule REVERSED!! Today, we got it right and managed to get fairly close to the waterfall after scaling some rocks! ~Catch you later! Storyhiker
