Hiked the Apache Canyon Loop trail. Started at the trailhead, hiked the loop counter-clockwise. Notes:
- Nice day, 60-70F temperature, no clouds.
- Did not see any other hikers.
- This is my third attempt to hike this loop. I have not been able to find the trail in the past, where T175 branches off the road. Did okay this time, had several mapping apps to help.
- Counted 12 trees across the trail. All could be stepped over.
The area could use a "tune-up":
- Trail signs and small kiosk at parking lot.
- Should gate be closed and locked? Remove barbed wire by hiker bypass.
- Replace interpretive sign and trail register near trailhead.
- Section of trail needs to be sloped to shed water.
- Question: what is the status of T176?
