I was very surprised to wake up to a very misty morning this morning I waited as long as I could before needing to set off for my hike. I couldn’t wait too long, so eventually headed off into the mist. There was a pretty rugged climb up to Mt Brown from the southern side, with a bit of rock scrambling.
Unfortunately, I had absolutely no view at the top as I was pretty much on the inside of a cloud. However, the hike up had a mystical feeling about it because of the mist and the cloud. I even had to get my raincoat out. Once I summitted there was a very gentle descent all the way down to Waukarie Creek camp site where I stoped for a snack. Was quite lovely today. Walking by dry Creek beds watching the amazing gum trees listening to the birds. The final hike up to the Ridgeline, heading towards Pichi Richi was challenging, but nothing compared to the challenges of yesterday. I also enjoyed having a shorter day of hiking. My feet are feeling a little bit sore today. Once I got down to pitchi Richi park after a very steep descent from the Ridgeline I was thrilled to be offered an ensuite cabin at Pichi richi park, with a hot shower and some laundry the first tasks. Luxury!
