2 Leaders 2 Lunches and 1 Puncture

Not too many takers for the short and medium rides today. So Woody scrapped his medium ride and joined Brian's short one. While hanging about it started to rain. Brian struggled into his waterproof trousers and the rain stopped. Nine of us set off with the two leaders via Denham to Harefield for coffee at the hospital cafe. Despite protests Brian took off his waterproofs. As we got ready to leave it started to rain again and Brian once more struggled into the waterproofs. The rain stopped at once. We headed off via the Rickmansworth Aquadrome to lunch at the excellent Coach and Horses. Seeing as we had two leaders I had two lunches (the first one was good but a little on the small side). We were joined by three grumpy Loiterers (Cap'n Zeppelin, Ian and Dave Brown) who had been waiting for the medium ride to pass through Ruislip. Leaving the pub we found that the sky had cleared but the temperature had dropped. We made our way to Denham Airfield for tea via Maple Cross and West Hyde. When we came out to leave, Brian discovered that he had a puncture. "You carry on", he said and to his dismay everyone did. He looked so miserable that I hung around to give him some moral support. Puncture fixed we made our way back to Uxbridge. Uxbridge to Uxbridge 21 Puffing Loiterer Question of the Day: What do you think Don is dreaming about?
