ACW - Greenwich to McMahons Point

The Track: TWO.H Cafe - Greenwich Point Baths - Leemon Reserve - Manns Point - Gore Cove Reserve - Oyster Cove Reserve - Waverton Park - Blues Point Hotel Who Walked: Brett Condon, Euigoo Kang, Paul Hunt, Dale McKay, Margot McKay, Kym Rampal, Carolyn Samer, Annette Smith, Jim Smith Who Couldn’t Make It: David Carlson, Melissa Bernard, Bruce Cowled, Philip Louw, Robert Williams One of our resident scribes—Brett has just filed this poetic prose (based on "The man from Snowy River" by Banjo Paterson): ACW goes Organic There was movement at the cafe as the word was passed around, The Hunter from the North was joining in. So the group was slowly forming, but was not yet quite complete, There were members not at Two.H to begin. As we headed South through Greenwich to enjoy the Harbour’s edge, Spirits fuelled by caffeine were quite high. The baths and sailing club were duly left behind, Additions to the group were feeling nigh. We battled through Gore Cove, in bush and muddy creeks, Berry Island soon was well within our sight. Emerging from the under growth, we were pleasantly surprised, To find the global cyclists beaming bright! So now the group was growing as we continued heading East, Oyster Cove and the marina were our treat. And here we added further, with the birder joining in, The walking group was finally complete. Past the Loader and Balls Head, we discovered Berrys Bay, There was motivation as the end was near. The final climb to Blues Point was covered at a trot, As the promise of the pub was cooling beer. The walking group had grown organically today, The final cohort ordered lunch and more. Catchups on adventures were enjoyed by one and all, Let's look forward to the next time we explore! ⸻ Thank you for the wonderful poem, Brett! Please join me in welcoming a new member today — Kym Rampal. A fabulous day out on Sydney’s beautiful North Shore. Thanks, everyone, for your great company! Next walk: Friday, 27 June Track: TBD — Report by Euigoo
