Bring gloves to protect your hands during the rock scramble. The rocks along the ridge are very brittle and sharp.

Rob Riethmiller assembled a 5-person team (joined by Andrew, Danny, Ben and myself) for the Worthington to Buckhorn ridge traverse. It turned out to be a challenging but very fun outing. It was the longest ridge traverses that I had ever done.
Quick Stats:
Round trip: 16 mi
Total Elevation Gain: 4,700 ft
Car to car time: 11 hours and 45 minutes
The route:
—Tuboal Cain TH to Tull Canyon Trail Junction via Tuboal Cain Trail
—Tuboal Cain Mineshaft by Tull Canyon Trail
—1952 B-17 crash site near Tull Canyon Trail
—Worthington Northeast Peak's east ridge saddle via Tull Canyon Trail
—Ridge scramble to
Mount Worthington Northeast Peak
Mount Worthington
Iron Mountain
Buckhorn Northeast peak
Buckhorn mountain
—Buckhorn to Tubal Cain Trail via Buckhorn Tubal Cain connector trail
—Tubal Cain Trail to Tubal Cain Trailhead
We stayed with the ridge line as close as possible and tagged many local high points. This ridge traverse requires advanced scramble skills and some rock climbing experience. There were many exposed class-3 class-4 sections with low class-5 moves.
