Mount Stuart via West Ridge

I have been learning and doing outdoor rock climbing for a year, hoping to try some beautiful alpine rock objectives. When Jack Fernandez posted Stuart West Ridge trip on the SOA Meetups, I jumped on the opportunity. There were 4 people in our group: Jack Fernandez, the organizer, Linh Vu, Michael Druidarch and myself. The plan was to attempt an ambitious single day push with a back up plan of bivying after the summit. There are many good sources of beta for this route. The following has the most detailed planning plus detailed route descriptions in pictures. https://rocknropenw.com/2023/08/03/mount-stuart-west-ridge/ Trip stats: 13.6 mi RT, 7,880ft gain Route conditions were great. The snowfields that we had to cross were all consolidated but not icy. Stiff boots and ice axe are recommended for the steep snow travel. Crampons are optional.

Prepare for the cold night bivy even if you think that you can compete the trip without bivy
