Got caught by Surprise on Sagre, was a beautiful Evening and I was Very Happy to get my Car to the Upper Trailhead at the end of the Road to make this a shorter Hike. Waking up in the Morning to all that Snow was a Surprise. What to do??, Put on my Mountaineering Boots, Gaiters and Dressing up warm after a Good Cup of Coffee. Initially it was easy to follow the Trail but got significant difficult further up when the wind picked up and the Trail not obvious. Soft Fresh Snow on top of the Old hard pressed Snow made this a rather slippery affair and every step had to be carefully placed. Eventually I made it to the Summit Trig Pillar in Low Visibility. It had not stopped Snowing all this time and actually it got worse as I hiked down. I am glad this was a Short Hike after returning back to my Car but now I wished to have parked at the Lower Trailhead. In this Conditions I never would have been able to reach the Upper Trailhead. The Drive down was just as exciting as the Hike itself. What a Wonderful Day and Peak.
