At 1,493 metres (4,898 ft) the Feldberg in the Black Forest is the highest mountain in Baden-Württemberg, and the highest in Germany outside of the Alps. The timing was perfect as it is still Pre-Season and quiet. Parking was not a problem and I could follow the Ski Piste for the first and later the Path on the right side up to the Stone Monument from where you can see Feldberg for the first time about a Mile away. But first I went over to Seebuck and Feldberg Tower which houses the Black Forest Ham Museum, unfortunately it was Closed today. (I thought it’s a rather Strange Location for a Museum). Now all I had to do was following the Asphalt Road to Feldberg, first you drop down a bit before ascending again to reach the Highpoint with a Stone Trig Marker. The View was ok with the clouds below me. Returning pretty much the same way. Meet only a few People out there today.
