The beach here at low tide is incredibly wide (from waves to dunes). So, no, we were not wading in the water! As it turns out, we were here during a "king tide" due to the alignment of the sun and moon, and the moon being at its closest point to earth at the same time. So low tides were lower than normal, and high tides were higher than normal. The resulting beach at low tide appeared to be wide enough for a couple of football fields! Compare these pictures to the ones on Alan's beach walk at high tide earlier the same day: https://www.ramblr.com/web/mymap/trip/20482/3636988/
