As there is no longer a water tank at Beetaloo we knew we would have to carry double the amount of water and that it was going to be a 30km day. With this in mind I was on the trail at 7.15am to make sure I would arrive in daylight. I took regular breaks and finally arrived at the camping area at 4.45pm. The day started by going through the local footy oval, then the caravan park and the local golf course. There was a small amount of road walking before arriving at Bowman Park. There is a shelter here but it is not in a good condition. After my first break for the day I then set off road walking. The rest of the day was spent following roads and vehicular tracks with a gradual elevation gain.
