Sand Lake, Nisga’a Highway, British Columbia, Canada

Had a hard time finding a spot to launch our kayaks. We went too far, then the first road we tried was flooded. The second road was very steep, but we backed down, and it was fine. Karsten and Penni saw a swan at the end of the lake. Karsten followed it and got some great pics. He also had a male Loon pop up near him, and it had quite the song and dance. Had a great kayak. Saw an eagle. The rain stayed away. The clouds were getting pretty low, as d luckily there was hardly any wind. Saw one other kayaker. They made it through the big puddles on the other road.
