A drizzly, foggy spring day made us wonder if we would be able to see anything out on a hike in the Floyd, Virginia, area. We first thought we would hike in the Buffalo Mountain preserve area, but realized that the fog was too think at the higher elevations to see anything. So, we opted for Rock Castle Gorge - a perfect choice! While on our way, we learned that our son and daughter-in-law were making plans to come and see us. Knowing that, we decided to shorten our hike and not go as far as we usually do on this trail.
Catch you later! ~Storyhiker
