Trail is easy to follow but stay high on the first Fork about half mile from trailhead.
Need water filtration. Bring lots of bug spray. Mosquitoes are prominent. Saw bear tracks on the trail so bring a bell and bear spray, and rope to hang your food in the trees at night to be safe. A family was up there at the same time but I don’t know how they all hiked it with their packs. I wouldn’t go too much younger than 15.

Great fishing once you make it, hard hike. 3000 foot elevation and 600 foot descent to lake. Trail is easy to identify the whole way. Lake is surrounded with granite cliffs, just below the timberline. Beautiful!
Trout averaged 18”. Use Jakes lures or fly fishing for best results.
