07/22/21 - Spring Creek - Corduroy Loop 21,17,16,12,11,21

Several Miles of the trial through the SGL (State Game Land) is on open gas line and roads with no forest canopy. You will be exposed to the sun and heat. You may want to plan accordingly. As of this ride there is Bridge Construction on trail 21 in the SGL near the south end. Looks like they will be working on it through the summer of 2021. There is no accommodation for horse crossing. It is crossable but not easily. There is an old flat wooden bridge at the bottom south end of 21 on SGL. (The only one on the trail.) Be careful crossing. The edges in front of and next to the bridge are unstable. I approached in the center and the ground next to the bridge gave way to a sink hole under my horses hoof when I stepped up to the bridge. There are several tree falls but all were navigable with thought. The hardest was at the Bottom of 21 about 200 yards before the "M" Trailhead. This Trip total time also includes stopping for about 30 minutes for lunch at Pigeon Falls

Horseback Riding

From SHH- You will need to trailer out about 30 minutes. Take 66 North to the 948 Junct. Turn south onto Pigs Ear Rd across from the junc. Duhring is shorter, but the road is so bad it will take you 50 minutes.
