Langba Pu soil forest, also known as Xinhua soil forest, is located in Xinhua Township, 33 kilometers west of Yuanmou County, 15 kilometers away from Bangguo soil Forest. It is located at the junction of Yuanmou, Dayao and Muding counties, with an altitude of 1560-1640 meters and an area of 1.4 square kilometers. It is a special geomorph form and special lithology combination of flowing water erosion. It was formed under the mutual influence of various factors such as tectonic movement, climate, frequent neotectonic movement, fast rate of crustal uplift and strong water erosive force. Developed in lacustrine sedimentary silty sand layer, clay layer with a small amount of fine gravel layer. 浪巴铺土林又名新华土林，位于元谋县城西33公里处新华乡境内，距班果土林15公里，地处元谋、大姚、牟定3县交界处，海拔1560—1640米，面积1.4平方公里，它是流水侵蚀的一种特殊地貌形态，是特殊的岩性组合，是在构造运动、气候、新构造运动频繁、地壳抬升速率快、流水侵蚀力强等综合因素相互影响下形成的。发育于湖相沉积的粉细沙层、粘土层夹少量的细砾石层中。
