Backpacked up Taylor Canyon to one of the primitive campsites. It looked like someone had been sleeping on some fir branches either the night before or the one before that. There's also a firepit. I set up my tent and laid in it, enjoying the sound of the mountain stream not far away. It was pretty chilly, and the ground was partially frozen, so I didn't lay still for very long. I thought about starting a fire but I didn't have the time. I chopped up some wood, then I packed up and headed back. A very rigorous but refreshing hike. It feels good to be getting stronger.
