Today was mostly creek walking, but it was so much easier than yesterday at parts. The signage was still very vague, but the creeks itself were very soft to walk in and we had the Elder Range to look at which was really pretty. Minor frustration with the vague signage of the Heysen Trail markers, thank goodness for the electronic map which helped with directions. The other confusing element is the amount of animal tracks that look exactly the same as the Trail. Today was a cold day, we had our raincoats on and off all day, mostly to protect us from the wind chill, but we only got a tiny bit of rain even though it rained most of last night.
We got into camp at a really good time, set our tents up and enjoyed a beautiful fire ready for a big day tomorrow. We were so proud of ourselves lighting that fire! We read out loud by the fire as we sipped Baileys, and went to bed warm and happy. A big day ahead tomorrow with an early wake up time of 0530 planned.
