Coorong

A group of 12 set out from the closed down Salt Lake Roadhouse. Views of the Coorong, Salt Lake and a number of other lakes. The night before we saw a dear with large antlers running through the malee scrub. today we saw a number of large wombat burrows in the sandy soil. An emu walking and running through the middle of one of the shallow lakes was an unexpected sight to see. The very flat terrain is sandy and rocky but not too soft. Quite windy, with a couple of light showers but also plenty of blue skies. BRS gas stove going great. So much quicker than metho. Think I'm a convert!
