We dispersed camped, for free, in the Kaibab National Forest.
From inside the National park go down Hwy. 64 to Coconino Rim View road also known as Forest Service road 310 or Grandview Lookout road. ( all the same road)
When you turn off on to FS310 you will be in the park and the road will say no camping…. Follow the road and it will then enter the National Forest. Once in the forest you may camp anywhere you would like as long as it has past camping damage. We did see many places to camp. There is no water, corrals etc. but there is amazing cell service!
