CR: Macho Mora - Vista Real Waterfalls

Just as we gave up our visit to Nauyaca Waterfalls, we drove by roadside signs to Vista Real Waterfalls and figured that some spontaneous stops might be fun at times. The nameless (?) access road is covered in dense jungle and quite beautiful, but narrow and not so easy with lots of potholes and mud. 4x4 vehicles are essential. Turned out this was a privately owned property with a small B&B, restaurant, small school, soccer field and church for the local community. There were several trails within the property, but we only had enough time to get to one of the viewpoints that oversee Vista Real Waterfalls far in distance. It was not particularly impressive from so far away, but the waterfall appeared to be almost 100 meters in height. Had we had more time, we could have hiked all the way down to the waterfalls and dip in its pool. For being a spontaneous stop, it was quite alright, but I would not necessarily go back again and again when the country offers so much more to see/do.
