A quick and “relatively” easy climb... the weather was on our side throughout our hike. Clouds quickly rolled in as soon as we returned to the trailhead. Got super lucky!
It was meant to be an altitude adjustment slash training to our Cerro Chirripó (the highest peak in Costa Rica) hike, which we reluctantly scratched during the planning stage after giving it numerous thoughts.
But, I quickly realized after this short hike that hiking with Felix on my back inside the Deuter carrier backpack, which weighs 50lbs, at this altitude was not an easy task by any means despite all the routine workouts and trail races I have been doing. Good thing we “kept” Chirripó for the future visit. Phew!
