They are two separate monuments 20 miles apart in the same area. The entire area in that vicinity is covered volcanic lava and ash. The volcano erupted 800 years ago and the lava looks so fresh as just erupted. But most area is covered with dense forest. I have seen enough Indian ruins and somewhat lost interest but it is on the way home.
