This is a self guided organised trip. Don’t even think about it unless;
You are very comfortable being lost as the trails are poorly marked and the walking notes, inaccurate at best and downright wrong at times,
You speak good Italian or preferably Sicilian, and
You are travelling in a group, not advisable to do alone.

This was the start of our Magna Via Francigena walk from Christina Gela to Agrigento. The first stage to Corleone was supposed to be moderate walking for 25k and take approximately 5 hours. Good luck with that project. We had to phone our hotel to pick us up with around 10kms to go at 7:30pm having started out at 09:40! Sadly we were hit by major thunderstorms which lasted about 4 hours, very scary, which turned fields into clay bogs and some roads have into fast running streams 2 inches deep. Lost connection early so only a small part of the walk is recorded.
