A lot of wildlife in May, but not so much in September. Extend hike by including Duck Farm Road/Smokeless Powder Run trails on the North leg and/or Pond, Glassworks, Center or Exercise, and Cribbers Road trails on the south leg. This park is a gem with WWI munitions (Bethlehem Loading Company) ruins and Glasswork ruins. Duck Farm Road trail is your traditional Pine Barrens jaunt with interweaving mountain bike trails. There is also a Veterans' cemetery, group picnic pavilions and playgrounds on the south end of Purple Heart Drive. Boardwalk is slick when wet.
