Alright, no more freeways! I'm through the mountains and into rolling hills on lightly trafficked highways. A new fire sprang up yesterday to put a smoky pale on my horizons but this is still nowhere near as bad as it was in Colville, WA.
Got some good rest & chow at my craptacularly cheap motel, enough to think me ready to tackle 70 miles to an RV park that I stayed at last year. Yes, today will end with my riding north on a same stretch of highway 93 that dropped me out of Canada and into Kalispell. Mostly clear skies with some pesky winds today under mild temps in the low 90s. It might be hotter? I've become greatly accustomed to the late afternoon heat. I'm sweaty and stinky regardless so no use checking the forecast.
Wonderfully surprised to see such spectacular scenery surrounding my start. Some routes come recommended. Today's was not, it was simply the most direct route to take me to my next point-of-interest, Glacier National Park.
