Michael Brent and I climbed Glacier Peak August 1-2 2024. We budgeted 3 days but did in 2, skipping camping after the summit.
The weather was nice, a little bit hot. There were some smoke cloud layers on the summit day, limiting visibility. The bugs were vicious at the camp. Overall the trip was very enjoyable, the sunrise views were incredible. We were both happy to summit this beautiful mountain in the Cascade.
The route was in great shape. The glacier crevasse conditions were normal for this time of the year. Opening crevasses observed near the boot-path were shown in photos in the report.
