Umión - 1436m

Started in the Village of Capilla de la Sierra which is reached on good Asphalt Roads. Official marked Parking Lot for a couple of Cars. Followed the Signed Trail up the Road, afterwards through the Forest but always a reasonable Trail, The upper part is a bit rocky. Once emerging from the Forest the Summit can be seen already but Highpoint 1409 need to be climbed first in order to get up to the Ridgeline between the two Peaks, Although a Trail I still managed to drop too far down and had to reclimb up to the Ridge and onto the Summit Plateau. An interesting Summit Cross and Granite Pilar mark the Highpoint, Also some Memorial Plaque are nearby, one of the looking like a Urne. Went across the Summit Plateau on a Trail and an occasional Cairns, still managed to loose the Trail but not a problem as the Scrub is low and hike-able. Eventually I picked up the Trail further down and walked back to the Car. A short but enjoyable Hike today just what I needed today after a longer drive from Barcelona.
