While being in Melk with the Ship Oscar Wilde my Brother and Sister in Law visited me and after showing them the Ship and having Breakfast at the Ship we drove up to Jauerling. At the Skiing area there are many Parking opportunities and also further up is another Parking Lot for Hikers. We went on to the Highpoint with a Trig Marker dating back to the K & K Times. Afterwards we hiked over to the Lookout Tower which was open and charged 2 Euro Entrance Fee to go to the Top. It hold also a Museum but rather neglected. One can also buy some refreshments at the Base of the Tower. A Short little Hike out in Nature and Great to get away from Busy Ship-life for a couple of Hours.
