From Kelbaker Road the Road up to Cottonwood Wash is in Great Condition and can be driven by almost any Car. Stayed Overnight at the Trailhead to get an early Start. To my surprise another Camping Vehicle was already there for the Night. Not a problem since there is enough Space for several Vehicles to Park comfortable. In the Morning I head out following the Road first and then the Wash where I lost the Trail. Took me a while till I found some Cairns, which put me back on the right Track. In fact as I discovered later on my return there is a good Trail all the way to the Summit. Oh well it called adventure after all. Silver Peak can be hiked in combination with Granite Peak and would make for Great Day Hike. Just did not know or didn’t care for Silver Peak a few years ago when I hiked Granite Peak and therefore had to come back for Silver Peak separately.
Happy Hiking, Josef
