From South Las Vegas Blvd which parallels the I-15 and parked at the Side of the Road near a Shooting Range Dump. Parked my Car on the side of the Road, which is not really suitable for Low Clearance and easier to walk. Was already late in the afternoon and the weather was not looking good, didn’t really matter much since it is a short hike. I followed the Road upwards in the direction the Peak along more trash from the Shooting Range, side hilling and dropping into a wide wash which I followed keeping left till you the see Sloan Peak. From hereon its just a matter of getting out of the wash and steep towards the Summit. It’s short but not bad. You will see a Cain but this is not the Summit. Follow the Ridge till the higher Summit, which is not marked by a Register or Benchmark so I went back to the Cairn and looked again but No Register. Anyway I did not had enough time to look more since it started drizzling already and I got to get going, dropping down on the opposite side into the wash to join back with my ascent route. Not a bad hike and not much longer if you could get closer driving up the Road with a High-Clearance Vehicle and hike the more Standard Route. My route is good as well and can be recommended for a bit of longer Hike.
Happy Hiking, Josef
