Peak 4112

Pahrump Valley Road (NV 160) and left onto Last Chance Road on a decent Road, (was challenging for a Toyota Corolla Low Clearance) Parked the Car on the Side of the Road just below Peak 4112 and opposite Pupfish Peak and headed into the Canyon, which I thought would in in a straight line. Unfortunately the Canyon itself gets very Rocky with lots a boulder and too steep on loose stuff to make this a good option, so I had to traverse to the left gaining the Ridge, which made the going easier. Following the Ridgeline and a bit a side hilling on faint Sheep trails was not bad till reaching the top. From there it is just a matter to get over to the Highpoint along the Ridge. Based on the Summit register it looks like very few People hike this Peak. Again amazing views in all directions. On my return I stayed pretty much in line for most part just out of the Canyon for most part but this was also steep and loose. It’s a short hike in general and either way will get you back to your Car. Happy Hiking, Josef
