Back again at Tuolumne Meadows, walking the same Trail as I did less than 12 hour earlier coming back from Mount Lyell, this time making a right turn and heading up to Ireland Lake. I have not done a lot of Hiking in the Sierra but this one is my Favorites Hike so far. Easy on the Trail and around Ireland Lake before its gets stepper and scrambling up to Parson Peak. Not any particular Path to follow, pretty much anything works here, hopping Boulders. After signing the Register I head down the Northwest Ridge to tag the County Highpoint, No Register found there even though Patrick mentioned to have placed one a few Months earlier. Returned up and over Parson Peak again repeating Boulder hopping back to Ireland Lake.
Wanted something different on my way back and keep left towards Evelyn Lake and followed Rafferty Creek before rejoining my Morning Trail. (In hindsight this was a mistake as it does not follow a Trail and is slow going), Would not recommend this route coming down. A Great Day in the Mountains again and no other Hiker to be seen for the entire Day. Peace, Joy, and Fun……
Happy Hiking, Josef
