After finishing my work early in the morning, I arrived at the Mowich Lake Campground at noon. It took ~ 2 hours from Seattle and there were more than 30 cars already in the parking lot. I guess most of them were hikers because I could find only one tent in the campground.
I started at Mowich Lake, one of the main access for the Wonderland Trail, and took the Tommie Peak Trail at ~1.5 mile from the TH. The first 2 mile was very easy forest trail but a short switchback started (a half mile) to Eunice Lake.
The lake was so beautiful and I could see the fire lookout and Tolmie Peak from its basin.
Another half mile climb from the lake brought me to the lookout and the 360 degree view at the lookout was literally gorgeous!
I thought that the lookout was on the peak but my GPS told me that the real Tolmie peak was the one on the east.
I tried to hike a little more to the real peak because I still could see a trace went to there. But the trail ended up with class 4 scrambling and I decided to strop there.
