Around 8:30 last night the wind picked up like crazy, but only above us. We couldn't feel it in the valley we were sleeping in. Then the thunderstorm came, and rained most of the night.
Woke up to heavy fog, mist, and a soaking wet tent that had to be packed away.
Trail damage
I was tired, and it was raining last night, so I didn't hang our bear bag. We had a visitor, smaller than you're thinking. A mouse decided to eat through our tent screen, my backpack, liner, and food bag. Grrr
First part of hike was easy today, and we made our goal for the day. We did hit one part that I'll call the rock garden, that was really hard on or feet.
Found a nice camp site with water, and were joined by Wild Child and Stitch. Stitch had a spare double cheeseburger from McDonald's that he offered up. I have not eaten at McDonald's in over 10 years, but I could not deny Trail Magic!
Had a nice camp fire, and enjoyed until it got too cold. Down to 42° tonight!
