Hochkünzelspitze 2397 m 7862 ft.

The tour starts right on the main street. Follow the road for approx. 70 m until a forest path branches off to the right. A short fell descent of about 10 meters in altitude takes you to the track and follows it to the right into the Schandelstobel. Continue to the right of the stream until the path climbs a little steeper. As soon as the Schandelstobel has been climbed, the view to the right opens up to the Hochkünzelspitze. In front of the Biberachesrhütte, the track turns right. Here it is important to stay as far to the right below the Giglturm as possible. Pass this on the left until you see the summit slope. It is necessary to climb it with many hairpin bends. In the upper area the incline is approx. 35°. The summit itself can only be reached on foot and it is best to set up a ski depot on the rock face. Over the ridge it goes to the sub-summit of the Hochkünzelspitze, further down a moderately difficult climbing section approx. 10 m. Now follows a small notch, which is secured by a rope. Walk the last few meters to the summit along the rope. If the rope is buried under the snow, the ascent to the summit is very difficult and risky. (My own Notes now). This is not my Write up and was taken from a Tour-book but pretty much accurate on what I encountered along the Way including the Ascent to the True Summit which gave me some grief and assess my options but there is none. (See Pictures).Risk it and make it to the True Summit or mark it as an Attempt. Would be a None Issue in Summer but without Crampons it was definitely Risky to say the Least. Good Conditions up to the Glattjöchl 2180 m 7150 ft.and then the Wind picked up and the Temperature dropped drastically. Had to Trail Break for most of the Steep Section and many Switchbacks up to my Snowshoe Depot and on Foot to the Summit. Returned pretty much the same way except I did not Stop at Biberachesrhütte and Shortcut down the Steep Slope.
