Cerro Ahillo

When I woke up this Morning it was all Grey and Foggy, not feeling like getting out of my Sleeping Bag at all and Sleeping in. Oh well I am here to Hike Mountains after all. Finally after having Coffee my Mood improved and I got Driving. From Highway JA-3307 near Fuente de la Teja a Dirt-road is leading towards the Mountain. This Road leads pretty close to the Summit as per Peakbagger Map. After a few Switch backs you get to a Gate which luckily was open today and I took the Risk Continuing Driving up the Road till Road Ends on the Map. I Parked on the Roadside less than 1 mile from the Summit and went Hiking. Should have known the Road leads up to a Lookout Tower which is not on my Map either. There would be enough Parking for a Car or more. In the Meantime I was Completely out of the Clouds and it was gorgeous. From the Lookout Tower a nice maintained Trail leads to the Summit which requires some Scrambling to the Top with a Standard Trig Pillar. What a View with the Clouds below me and only the Surrounding Mountain Tops peeking through. Returned the same way quiet Happy and yes the Gate below was still open on my Return Drive.
